Telefonica Black, the Spanish boat, got their first stage win on the final leg of the 08/09 Volvo Ocean Race. Sounds like it was a bomb match race up to the finish line as the course was extended by 100 miles (i'm sure the grinders wanted to kill someone). While their win didnt change the podium it was good to see as many leg winners as possible. Paul Cayard has predicted that the next edition of the VOR will bring 12 boats. That's some big talk, but bit talk is bomb.
